Exchange dates Duration
January 15, 2021 - March 14, 2021 2 months

We'd like to be away in the winter and can do a non-simultaneous exchange in either the Dordogmne Valley of France or Lawrence, Kansas. We can break up our stay--2-3 weeks here and 2-3 weeks there, etc.

House in vibrant university town of Lawrence, USA

The house has large rooms and lots of light at all times of day. There's a shady deck for eating out, a master bedroom with attached bathroom, a den with a grand piano, and two studies, one sunny and one shady. Fine art on the walls.

Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Kansas City International (MCI) - 60 miles

Lawrence, Kansas is a university city with an exciting music scene, gourmet restaurants, art galleries, hiking and bicycle trails, and swimming pools. It has one of the world's most beautiful libraries. Thirty minutes away is the capitol, Topeka. An hour takes you to the vibrant action of Kansas City. A 1.5 hour drive takes you to the Flint Hills, where there are cattle ranches on the tall grass prairie.
If you've visited both coasts of the U.S., now is the time to give "flyover country" a chance. See trip advisor for photos and reviews. https://www.tripadvisor.com/LocationPhotos-g38836-w3-Lawrence_Kansas.html

About Our Family

We're interested in the arts, and we both write, Bob non-fiction, and Jean fiction. Now that we're retired, most of the year we live in the delightful university town Lawrence, Kansas, but in May, June or July we hurry back to France. We're seasoned travelers and have enjoyed 14 exchanges in Europe, Mexico, the U.S., Australia and New Zealand. We will take good care of your home.

Lifestyle

Enjoy cycling on uncrowded country lanes! Hike the numerous blazed paths. Wine and dine at the gourmet restaurants. Take a ten-minute drive to Castillones to swim and take in an evening at the cinema. Or enjoy a meal in Eymet, with its beautiful square and large British community. Enjoy a leisurely drive along the famous valleys of the Dordogne or Vezere rivers.
