A modern cozy family house in Reykjavik

This cozy townhouse has been totally modernized within the last years. It is fully equipped to meet modern standard needs for a family of up to five persons or friends. Centrally located in the capital area with grocery stores, liqueur store, pharmacy's, restaurants and take away within 5 mínútna walking distance and only 15 min drive to Reykjavík old center. Only a short walking distance to Reykjaviks natural park Elliðaárdalur. Overall a great location for a memorable stay in Iceland.

The house is 158 square meter in split level and has been totally renovated within the last years.
It consists of a modernized kitchen, a laundry room and a wc at the entry level. Half a floor up is the living room, an office/computer room, a dining room and a balcony. Half a floor down from the entry zone is the main bedroom, modernized barhroom and two children rooms (one with full size bed, the other with a 1.8 m long bed, we have also an extra full size guest bed available), a bathroom and a play hall with an entry to a private garden.

We are Hedinn 52, Hildur 47 and two children aged 10 and 14. We have lived in this quiet neighborhood for almost seven years now. The suburb is called Breiðholt and is planned and build in the late 1960' and 70'. As Reykjavik city and surroundings are expanding Breiðholt is now centrally located near main roads to the city center and the countryside. Two private parking plots are in front of the house.

Reykjavik has a lot to offer to visiting guests. Local geothermally heated outdoor swimming pools, museums, old harbor area, first class restaurants and green parks. The most natural one of the green parks Elliðaárdalur is just in a walking distance from the house.

We are hoping to exchange homes with a family in the greater London area this summer.

If you would like to travel to Iceland to experience the amazing nature of the country this house is an excellent choice to have as a base for your visit and travel from there for shorter or longer trips to the countryside.
