Nice modern family home in Castricum near the beach and near Amsterdam.
OUR HOME:
We live in a fine, typical Dutch row house in the quiet village of Castricum. It has a light, through living room & modern kitchen. On the second and third floor there are three sleeping rooms and the bath room.
You can enjoy our back and front gardens. In the shed you find our bicycles that you can use to discover the neighbourhood.
Castricum is a nice village. The surroundings are superb: the lovely dunes and North Sea beach are only 2 to 3 kms away. In the countryside flowers are blooming and the cows and sheep are grazing. There are lots of hiking&cycling routes possible.
You can visit the lovely old cities Amsterdam, Haarlem and Alkmaar, all of them within 20 to 30 minutes (trains run every 15 minutes).

About the neighborhood
Quiet street, no through traffic, playground for young children, base ball and soccer. At walking distance: shopping center for all your daily requirements, as well as shops for clothing, books, toys, computers and a small warehouse.
The village center is at 5 minutes.

Anja was always quick to reply and friendly to talk to. Everything was communicated perfectly. The house was cozy and felt like home. We have already recommended the exchange to our parents because it was so nice. :-)
Wir haben uns im schön eingerichteten Haus und im Garten wohl gefühlt. Schöne Gegend, nahe am Meer und trotzdem sehr zentral gelegen. Die Kommunikation mit den Tauschpartnern war sehr angenehm. Wir würden den Wohnungstausch vorbehaltslos wieder durchführen! Besten Dank Anja & Jan.

We are Jan & Anja
We are Jan & Anja, and our kids are Ida (22) and Job (19). Jan works as a bookseller in Amsterdam. Anja works as a coach for people with autism and ADHD.
Ida likes to dance, Job plays football. Anja enjoys her garden and canoeing on the Lake of Uitgeest. Jan enjoys reading, photography (see: www.janhuiberts.nl) and cycling. We all like to swim in the see, enjoy visiting new towns and love long-distance walks.
