We have made dozens of exchanges over the last 30 years and have had many wonderful holidays all over the world. Our house is in a quiet road in a nice, quiet area of West London, 10 mins walk from Gunnersbury underground station for underground trains into central London and 12 mins walk from Chiswick mainline station for trains into Waterloo station. We are 5 mins walk from the riverside pubs at Strand-on-the-Green from where there is a pretty riverside footpath beside the Thames to Kew gardens, Richmond and beyond.
We are 7 miles from Heathrow Airport and close to the start of the M4 motorway for very easy exit to the west (for Windsor, Oxford, Bath, etc).
Our house is a 4 bedroom Victorian house built in about 1897, fully modernised and extended, with a small rear garden. The smallest bedroom is also used as an office. 2 bedrooms have king size beds, one of which has an en suite bathroom. The other bedroom has a single bed
We have a black and white 8 year old cat called Milo who will need to be looked after. We love animals and would be very happy to look after your pets.
We are both retired. Tony (now 74) was a college Lecturer and Gwen (now 71) a Personal Assistant. We both enjoy travelling the world and will happily consider all offers.
We have a son who lives in Australia and like to visit him at least once a year and hence we travel to Australia every year, but appreciate having our own base to return to. We would also like to spend some time in other parts of Australia and welcome all offers.

About the neighborhood
Chiswick is a green leafy area of west London and Whitehall Park Road is a very quiet road. Chiswick House and grounds are within 15 minutes walk, and there are lots of lovely riverside walks very close by. We have a lot of restaurants and pubs in Chiswick and it is a popular up-market area.

We loved staying in this house. Being near the Thames it is in a great location for walking and going to local pubs. We also really liked the local cafe/deli. And it was an easy train trip into the city. We really appreciated the cleanliness and order of the house. Instructions for looking after the house and garden were really clear and easily managed.
We had a lovely exchange. The house was warm and comfortable and the location good for visiting many places nearby such as the New Forest, Corfe Castle, Bournemouth. We'd definitely swap again in the future.

We had a good exchange with Alexis and Leticia and family. Their house, which is situated uphill from the village, is in a very quiet location and there are lovely views over the surrounding countryside with beautiful sunsets. The house was comfortable, clean, well equipped and has an attractive garden. Overall a very enjoyable and successful exchange.
