Big flat in Uppsala.
We live in a quiet neighbourhood close to the city center Uppsala,.a vivid town during summer with restaurants, culture, outdooractivities and in a area of Sweden with alot of history. It only takes 10 minutes by bicycle,to reach downtown, there are excellent bicycleways to the center and we have bicycles to borrow, 10 minutes by bus and the same by car to reach downtown. Our neighbour is the wood where you can take walks and do running..
Our flat, built 2013 is comfortable and cosy, there´s everything you need, such as a big kitchen, two bathrooms, one with a big bath tub, shower, television,dvd , internet access to the computer, comfortable beds etc.
We offer you a Toyota Prius 2006 if we swap cars.
Our biggest airport Stockholm/Arlanda is just 30 minutes from home.
5 minutes from home we have a big aqua park, Fyrishov, with a big pool area and retreat area if you want to sunbath and swim.
Otherwise, lake Mälaren is only 20 minutes by car from home, where you can sunbath, swim, rent a canoe, barbeque etc. Apart from Mälaren, we have a lot of small lakes to sunbath, about 15-20 minutes from home!
It only takes 35 minutes by train to reach city center of Stockholm.

Uppsala is university town with about 180 000 inhabitants, the forth largest town in Sweden. There´s a lot of historical buildings, for example a castle, a cathedral, university library Carolina Rediviva, the university, which was found 1477. We have a nice city center, museums, a lot of cafés and shopping. Summertime it is a lively city with a lot of things going on.
Our well known "king of flowers", the botanist Carl von Linné, lived in Uppsala, and there are alot of museums, his home and other related historical spots about Linné.
The archipelago of Stockholm is close, around 1 hour from home.
In the northern region of Uppsala you find pittoresque villages, perfect for 1 day excursions.
The village Sigtuna, 35 minutes by car, is ranked as Unescos worldheritagevillage, 1000 years old and very pittoresque, it´s located by lake Mälaren so you can go for sun bathing the same day as you explore the village with it´s small cottonhouses.

Nearest Airport: Stockholm Arlanda airport - 35 km
We live in the near center of Uppsala, it takes 10 min by bus, 20 min walk to go Downtown. We have 5 restaurants outside our door! 2 Thai, grill//pizza, sushi and meze/turkish. The bus stops 20 meters from our door. But the best of all: we have a big "citywood" an area of Woods with lots of paths, to take nice walks or do jogging. We are neighbour with the Wood and do all our dogwalks there.

About Our Family
Our family consist of Pal, 56, musician, contrabassist, Anna, 51., journalist at our regional newspaper, Gabriel, 19, student in natural sciences. Also our two daughters Susanna, 25 and Lovisa, 23 who have moved from home, they study medicin and law in Linköping and Örebro.
We have done alot of exchanges, 13, the past couple of years and have been addicted to this way of spending holidays. We had a break of Intervacexchanges for 2 years, and during that time we have moved from house to our new apartment.
We like to travel alot and discover new places. We are a active family spending alot of times outdoor, hiking, walking, skiing. We have a dog, a Lagotto, but he will not travel with us if we are going far away. If we spend our holiday in Sweden, he will come with us, othterwise he stay with friends.
