Roof top apartment in Central Stockholm
Wonderful roof top apartment in central Stockholm, Södermalm.
Wonderful views in every direction. 2 bedrooms (Master bedroom +1) and a living room with a balcony heading south and a "sofa bed" with possibility for two more beds.
2 bathrooms: a small extra bathroom with toilet and zink, and a big bathroom with a washing machine. There is two additional laundry rooms in the basement of the house.
During summer mornings we eat our breakfast on the balcony that is situated southward.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a big refrigerator and freezer and a dish washing machine. No microwave oven.
We are sorry to say the apartment is not suitable for small children or disabled people. There is a small elevator and lot of stairs.

We are longing for warm summers with lots of swimming and diving and would like exchanges close to a beach/the sea or by a private pool.

About the neighborhood
This is a beautiful part of Stockholm City, with parks and a great deal of recreation areas. There are boats and big pleasure cruisers traveling outside the windows, and if like a tour on the water yourself you can easily go to the nearby harbour to go by boat to the city instead of by bus or taking a walk.
You can rent a boat and take excursions by the sea if you know how to read a sea chart. It is necessary that you have that knowledge before you try cruising the archipelago by yourself.
If you want to go swimming during summertime there are several ways to do that.
It is lovely all around the year, and very close to everything.
There is lot of nice restaurants and cafés nearby, since Södermalm is in the centre of Stockholm.
There are plenty of wonderful walks, where you can choose between walking close to water or into the city. The walk in to the city will take you approximately 30 minutes.
If you rather travel by bus it will take you about 15 minutes the Central Station that is right in the middle of the city.

We are a family of four:
Roger, musician at the Royal Opera and Marie, director of theatre and opera,
Minna, 27 and Joel, 24 years old, who rarely travel with us nowadays, but we are happy if they do.
Most of the time we travel just the two of us.
During the years we have done about 10 exchanges, and we find the Intervac system very friendly, caring and nice. We would like to take care of your apartment/house in the same loving way as we expect you to take care of ours.
