Modern house with pool in the heart of the Eastern Townships (Magog/Orford)
Our stylish home is ideal for up to 6 adults, or family members. The main floor is an open concept with a very modern and well-equipped kitchen, dining room, and living room (with gas fireplace). Tucked into a corner is Tracy's home office, should you need desk space, and it overlooks the pool and backyard. The main floor also has a full bathroom with shower. The view is very zen - with trees, trees, and more trees! Our backyard backs onto Parc National de Mont-Orford so it's not uncommon to see deer, fox, wild turkeys, and a lot of bird varieties!
Downstairs we have a large main bathroom with double shower and freestanding tub (and large washer and dryer). And we have 3 very comfortable bedrooms. The master has a king bed and a patio door that walks out onto the back deck and pool. A second smaller bedroom also has a king bed. The third room is Luc's home office (there's a desk here if you need it) but also has 2 comfy twin beds; it too has a patio door that steps onto the back deck and pool area.
The pool is where we spend our summer! Our favourite activity is floating around, having a cocktail, and enjoying the serene forest behind our house. In the evening, you can take advantage of our firepit and Adirondack chairs.
While we are surrounded by nature, we are only 10 minutes from the town of Magog, which has 3 major grocery stores, 3 large pharmacies, 2 microbrewery pubs, a great distillery, and of course, shopping and restaurants! Magog itself is located right on the shores of Lake Memphremagog.
We have 2 adult e-bikes available for your use to enjoy the many local bike trails.

About the neighborhood
Orford, and nearby Magog, is an outdoor lover's paradise! Our home is:
right on the Trans-Canada Trail - a network of walking/biking trails that extends across Canada. We have 2 adult e-bikes available for your use to explore our town and region.
5 minutes from the ski station at Mont-Orford, which is the highest peak in the Eastern Townships (downhill skiing or trek skiing in winter, hiking in summer). Luc has a winter ski pass and can give you guidance.
5 minutes to the Lac Stukely sector of the Parc National de Mont-Orford (XC skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, fat bike in winter, hiking, biking, lakes, kayaking, beaches in summer). We have park passes and can offer advice on hiking and snowshoeing trails.
5 minutes to the Cherry River marsh (hiking in winter, hiking, SUP, and kayaking in summer)
5 minutes to 2 great golf courses (Manoir des Sables and Mont-Orford), and there are at least 10-12 more golf courses within about 30 minutes! We are big golfers so we can offer a lot of guidance in this area.
10 minutes to the shores of Lake Memphremagog (beaches, walking trails, bike trails, a skating track in the winter, and lots of water sports)
25 minutes to Owls Head (golf and skiing)
30 minutes to Bromont (skiing, biking, hiking)
We are in the heart of the Eastern Townships, and there are so many different things to see - beautiful little towns, mountains, wineries, and hiking and biking trails absolutely everywhere. We are happy to leave you lots of information about areas you can explore - just let us know what interests you!
** Montreal is 1h20 from here and is easily accessible with a bus (coach) service called Limocar. There are several trip times available every day, and the stop is located 8 minutes from our house. It whisks you right into the city (some direct, some via Bromont or Granby), with stops downtown or the bus terminal in Plateau Mont-Royal. This is a great opportunity to explore Montreal for a few days during your visit to the Townships - car-free!! **
