Brookline, Massachusetts (just 10 minutes to Boston & 4 hours to NYC)

CURRENTLY SEEKING EXCHANGE in ITALY, SPAIN, FRANCE or PORTUGAL for SUMMER 2025.

We offer for exchange an apartment/flat in Brookline, Massachusetts. The apartment is located on the first floor of a two family home. The home has two bedrooms (one with a queen bed and the other with a full-size bed).  An additional "daybed" can sleep two others in the large living room with half bath attached. You will also find a dining area, eat-in kitchen, full bathroom with tub and shower. There is a study with WiFi, laundry and central air conditioning. The house is located on a beautiful, quiet, tree-lined street with cafés, restaurants and public transportation all within walking distance (2-3 minutes walking)! The subway (called the "T") is just a few minutes walk to take to downtown Boston and we have parking for one car.

The house is located in Brookline, Massachusetts.  You can step outside to a quiet tree-lined street but we are just a 10 minute train ride to the center of Boston.  Very close by are restaurants and public transportation (just a 3-5 minute walk!).  You can enjoy a drink or dinner on our porch surrounded by trees.

Walk down the quiet street to the bustling safe neighborhood of Brookline.  In one direction you can walk to a "reservoir" or pond or take the "T" into Boston to explore the Boston Commons or Fanueil Hall or the North End (Italian neighborhood).  It is just a short ride to the Back Bay neighborhood.  You can also sail or kayak or take a boat ride on the Charles River.  Just across the river are Harvard University and MIT.

Our house has beautiful old woodwork with a modern kitchen, bathroom with shower/tub.  The house has 4 fireplaces.  Everything is close to all that Boston has to offer--restaurants, theater, public gardens.  The ocean is also less than 45 minutes away as are the mountains. New York City is a 1 hour flight away or 4 hour drive/train ride.  Enjoy the comfort of a home so close to the city.

Alternatively, we have a family home in Natick, Massachusetts, about 40 minutes to Boston located right on the Charles River with hiking trails and a waterfall right nearby. This house has 3 full bedrooms, a beautiful sunroom, backyard, and kayaks and canoes for canoeing on the river that runs right behind the house.

We are two adults traveling this summer. We have also traveled together with our children who are now young adults. We have lived abroad and done exchanges in Barcelona, Valencia, Olot, Seville, Paris, and Mexico. Adam is a professor at a business college and Jillian is a special education teacher.  We enjoy getting to know others and the opportunity this provides.   Thank you for looking!
