lovely appartment in oldest city of the Netherlands
Our atmospheric appartment (about 100m2, built 1938) is in a populair livingarea near the centre of Nijmegen. The bright living-diningroom watches the community garden. The kitchen is small but complete with dishwasher and airfryer. We have two bedrooms on the second floor with 2p bed each, and a small bedroom 1p (anti-allergy). In the basement is a game-studyroom with space for luggage.
The building has a small balcony to enjoy coffee with 2p and a small shared cornergarden in the front for lounge in the sun (south). Just across the street is a community garden you can use to picknick in the green and shadow.
It's a quiet yet lively neighbourhood, with friendly atmosphere and a big parc and small forest a streetblock away. More green area's are in the vicinity with lots of playgrounds. You'll find tearooms and all kinds of restaurants around, including bigger supermarkets and eco-shop for daily groceries at walking distance. The busstop (line 8) is in front of the house and will also take you to the centre, trainstation or the outdoor in a few minutes.
The appartment includes 2 indoorcats who need your warm attention, and of course their daily portion of food. They'll be happy to welcome you as their guests. We wish to exchange with animallovers.
We have an old peugot (automatic 2003), city bikes/MTB, Netflix, free WiFi, outdoor playstuff, kayaks (2p & 2x 1p) & sup (if we don’t take some with us) and a lot of boardgames to use!

About the neighborhood
The centre of Nijmegen is at walking/bike distance, with all of its historic sites, special shops, museums, restaurants, childfriendy cafes and lots of possibilities to go out: a theatre, cinemas and quite a few music venues. For the youth there are more possibilitys. Nijmegen is a friendly university city and most famous because of its Four Days March in 2nd week of July . People from all over the world visit our city during that week.
If you rather enjoy the country life, you can stroll along the river 'de Waal', walk its terraces and beaches. On the dike you can go for endless jogging, biking and skating. In the new 'Spiegelwaal' is place to enjoy watersports. Landscape surrounding Nijmegen show great variety, from beautiful polder 'de Ooij', to the green hills a little more in the south 'Berg en Dal' with lots of woods and small lakes. All is within biking or even walking distance.
Our bikes are at your disposal. You can easy rent more. There's free parking space in the street even the busstops. It will take you to the centre/the railway station or the hilly woods in 10 minutes.
You can easily take trips to other parts and nice big citys of our country (Amsterdam, Utrecht, Den Bosch, Maastricht), in Germany (Koln, Aachen) or of course the North Sea. Which are all at 30-90 minutes travelling distance. Nearby in Arnhem is a fantastic 'Burgerszoo' and an open air Museum (20 minutes). The famous themeparc 'Efteling' and artmuseum 'Kröller Möller' in a beautiful nature reserve Veluwe are 45 minutes by car.

alles bestens, wir haben uns in Esthers hübschem Reihenhaus sehr wohl gefühlt. Es hat eine gute Atmosphäre und strahlt Ruhe und Geborgenheit aus. Auch die Farben und die Dekoration gefallen sehr gut. Esther hat alles perfekt vorbereitet und ist sehr zuvorkommend. Für die Feiertage hat sie speziellen niederländischen Kuchen für uns besorgt. Da die Bushaltestelle direkt vor der Haustür ist, haben wir das angebotene Auto und die Fahrräder nicht benötigt. Kuscheleinheiten gibt es von den 2 süßen Katzen Pieps und Cleo gratis dazu, Wir freuen uns auf euren Aufenthalt bei uns,
Geweldig mooi ruim appartement, ligging in klein dorp met goed OV, schoon en mooi uitzicht aan 2 kanten, naast burcht. De communicatie was helder en vriendelijk. Zeer dank naar deze ruil in het rustige Unterengardin
Het huis is precies zoals op de foto’s. Lieve kat en van alle gemakken voorzien. De communicatie was erg fijn, vriendelijk. Ze hebben ook perfect voor ons huis en de katten gezorgd. München makkelijk bereikbaar met openbaar Vervoer. Voor mooie natuur wat verder rijden/reizen nodig.
We hebben genoten van het grote huis in een groen stille omgeving. Alles dichtbij; supermarken en openbaar vervoer. Fijne snelle communicatie, en schoon zowel daar als bij thuiskomst. Lekker koel binnen ondanks hittegolf. We konden ook e-bike, electrische step en scooter gebruiken :) We voelden ons heel welkom. Wenen en omgeving vonden we ook bijzonder de moeite waard, na 2 weken waren we nog niet uitgekeken. Absolute aanrader!

We are a small family who like to share what we have and celebrate our holidays in local environment of other cities or nature surroundings in Europe. We'll respecfully take care of your house, maybe garden and animals while you're enjoying ours.
Esther (therapist) lived all over the world as a child. Her thing: second hand shops and exchanging (books, clothes, plants, house : ). Swapping is possible with the kids (3p) or only with my partner (2p - Rudo, psychologist).
Anna and Lennart both like animals, jokes, small adventures. My daughter also likes old citys, sing in the band and concerts. Lennart is a fan of VR/games, Kungfu & to chill. The cats 2020/2022 love to play and cuddle.
