Spacious Flat in Santa Monica, California USA
We have a large, approximately 1500 square feet, 2 bedroom 2 bathroom flat in the coastal community of Santa Monica, California. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, the second bedroom has a full size bed. The living room sofa also converts to a queen size sleeper bed. Each of the beds can sleep 2.
For those who need work space, there is a spacious office with plenty of natural light and a desk available for use.
The kitchen and bathrooms have been remodeled. The kitchen is modern with all new appliances. The bathrooms are fully equipped. One bathroom has a large shower and the other has a bath/shower with a whirlpool bathtub to relax after a long day of sight-seeing. There is a washer and dryer in the unit and a small sunny balcony if you are home but want to sit outside.
There is high speed wireless internet access throughout the unit, TV's in each room with satellite access and digital media devices, DVD players and movies.
In additional to the references shown on the Intervac site we have done additional home trades throughout the years.

Santa Monica, the last stop on the historical Route 66, is a biking and walking city and has great local transportation. You can relax outdoors or enjoy local entertainment with bars, nightlife, shopping and movie theaters. We are just blocks away from Santa Monica Beach and Pier, Third Street Promenade, Montana Avenue. Also nearby and walkable for avid walkers are Santa Monica's Main Street, the Venice Boardwalk and Abbot Kinney Boulevard. We have one bike and there are bike rental stores as well as rental docks for bikes, e-bikes, and e-scooters throughout the city. The bike path is just outside our home and leads to miles of beaches just a few blocks away.
There are plenty of hiking areas in the nearby Santa Monica Mountains. With a car, or bus you can easily visit Malibu, Beverly Hills, Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, Pasadena, Disneyland, Universal Studios, or other beach towns along the California Coastline.

I am Collette, a Certified Public Accountant and I live part time in Santa Monica and part time in the Netherlands. My daughter Sofia lives full time with her Husband Max in the Netherlands. We enjoy traveling within the United States and around the world. We sometimes travel together and sometimes I travel alone or with close friends.
Lifestyle
We have an active lifestyle. Because Santa Monica is a walking city we are able to walk most everywhere we go. I enjoy getting my exercise walking or biking while enjoying a view of the Pacific Ocean.
Santa Monica, and Southern California in general, has amazing weather year-round so we are almost always able to enjoy the outdoors. When the rain does appear, we get the most amazing days that follow allowing us to see the islands off of our beaches. In the summer the weather is not too hot, I would say we average about 70 Fahrenheit, 21 Celsius for most of the year.
