Superb flat in Central Stockholm, Sweden

Welcome to Stockholm and one of the world’s most beautiful capitals. Built on 14 islands around one of Europe’s largest and best-preserved mediaeval city centres, the Swedish capital is superbly positioned, with stunning and extremely varied scenery.

We offer a lovely centrally located flat in the inner city of Stockholm. The size of the flat is 130m² with four bedrooms (5 comfortable beds for adults), a big living room with dining table and a sofa and armchairs, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, professional espresso machine and grinder etc. and two bathrooms, one with washing machine.

There are big windows in all directions in the spacious flat that gives you light all day. And there is a small balcony facing the courtyard. Perfect for your morning coffee. The flat has a high speed Wifi internet connection. The flat is beautiful and is built 1910, nice old doors, wooden floors, high ceiling, handcrafted carpentry and all the typical details from that style of architecture over 114 years ago. Our home is close to the water and the canals (800 m), so it is easy to go for walks by the water or stop by to the beach in the park för a swim or visit the public swimming Pool. You can also just jump on one of the many ferries that will take you out in the Stockholm Archipelago for a day trip.

For the Summer we are planning exchanges the following dates:
Preferable 6-10 days sometime between June and August. Also available for weekend trips in Europe during spring and autumn. Depending on flight dates and prices. We would like to find a spacious flat or house either close to the sea/ocean or either in a city center in Europe or US. Asia is also interesting. We are quite open for suggestions. Would you like to do an exchange?

Stockholm Top Sites
Stockholm, one of the most beautiful capitals in the world, is built on 14 islands connected by 57 bridges. The beautiful buildings, the greenery, the fresh air and the proximity to the water are distinctive traits of this city. The Royal National City Park, named Skansen, is a green space that breathes for the city, and a constant presence in the crush of the city.

With its 750 year history and rich cultural life, Stockholm offers a wide selection of world-class museums and attractions. Most of the city's attractions can be reached on foot, and there’s a good chance of experiencing a lot of things in a short time. We also have bicycles for you to use if wanted.

Visit Stockholm City Hall.
Climb the City Hall tower for a fantastic view of Stockholm. Don't miss Gamla Stan, Stockholm's oldest attraction and one of the best preserved medieval city centers in the world. Walk through small winding streets lined with stores full of handicrafts, antiques, art galleries and cafés. The Royal Palace and Stockholm Cathedral are also located in Gamla Stan.

Visit Djurgården.
The green island of Djurgården is home to some of the city's most popular attractions. Visit the world-famous warship the Vasa, the world’s oldest open-air museum Skansen, or Astrid Lindgren’s Junibacken. And don't miss the chance to see Stockholm from the water. Naturally a city built on fourteen islands offers marvelous views over the water. There are many different sightseeing tours to choose from. And if fourteen islands aren’t enough, Stockholm offers a wonderful archipelago with 30,000 islands, islet rocks and skerries.

Whatever you do, don’t miss SoFo in Stockholm.
New York and London have their SoHos, Stockholm has SoFo. SoFo comprises the area around the streets Folkungagatan and Götgatan on the Södermalm island in the inner city. This is were our flat is located. In this district, one of the capital’s trendiest, you’ll find a huge selection of stores and cafés, each with its own individual style. Three words best describe SoFo’s atmosphere: young, hip, and laid back. Young people, artists, and designers make their way here to live and work, giving the area a very distinct character. This is where independent visions of fashion art and form transforms the whole area into a eclectic, creative blend. SoFo is the place to find a variety of individual shops, young fashion, accessories, shoes, records, interior design and unique pieces. In SoFo, swarms of small restaurants, and cades vie for attention in an urban environment dominated by older buildings. As you stroll along the streets, you will also discover the squares and parks that help to make this neighborhood so special. Make a mental note of Nytorget, where you can relax in the shade of a tree or enjoy a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants that line the park. Nytorget also has a nice playground for the younger members of your family.

About Our Family

Our  family
We are a family that enjoy to travel and discover the world and ourselves through our vacations. We have two children and a young adult girl travelling with us. All together we are 4 or 5 in the family coming on the trip. We as parents have both a background in the area of marketing. We love travelling and we have been with Intervac since 2009 and done several exchanges with Intervac as: Rome, Naples, Paris, Barcelona, Alicante and Paris again for example. We look forward to get in touch with you. Please contact us if what we offer is interesting for you. We are making plans for our next exchange. Although nothing is settled and we are open for suggestions.

We have a wonderful Siberian Cat that suits allergic people. Meaning that if you use to be allergic to cats you will not get an allergic reaction. The cat can stay at friends during our vacation so you do not have to take care of her. But of course she can stay with you if you like.

Getting around
A car is not really needed in Stockholm since our apartment is very centrally located in the inner city and public transport by subway, buses and boats are really well planned. The subway station is just outside our door. So public transportation is the best way to get around. Also the walk is only 15 minutes to get to the Old Town of Stockholm. Just walk our street, cross a bridge and you are there. The subway station closest is named: Skanstull. Quite close is also: Medborgarplatsen.
