It is wonderful to enjoy the bright summer nights on the patio, and if it is a bit chilly you can turn the heater on

An attached house in Reykjavík

Note: For the open period around Easter we are ONLY looking for an exchange in London!
An attached house (150 m2) ca 5 km from Reykjavík city centre. The house has three floors with nice garden with a patio, and is in a row of six houses. In the basement is a large bedroom/TV-room, with a sofa-bed that can be converted to a proper double bed, and a bathroom with a washing machine a dryer. On the ground floor is living- and dining room and the kitchen. The first floor has a bedroom with a small balcony, a double bed and a small sofa-bed suitable for kids (teenagers) and a bathroom with a shower.
A bus that takes you down to the city centre in 20 minutes, stops right in front of the house. The same bus stops also in front of the largest outdoor swimming pool in Reykjavík and you can also walk to there from the house through a nice park and it only takes about 15 minutes. There are at least three large supermarkets in a walking distance located in a nearby shopping area, (with some restaurants/fastfood but the nicer ones are downtown) and smaller shops also around, bakery etc. We have two old bikes that are working fine.

Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Keflavíkurflugvöllur - 45 km

We live in a nice neighbourhood about ten minutes straight drive to the city centre and 50 minutes to walk. From the house you can walk to the biggest outdoor swimming pool í Reykjavík (Laugardalslaug) through a nice park. There is a short walk to Elliðaárdalur valley, a riverside wild park where you can enjoy a beautiful recreation area and a salmon river that runs through it. The house is not far away from the ring road no 1 and there are a lot of free parking in the street.
