Christmas or New Years’ in Amsterdam?
We live in a wonderful, terraced house with garden directly outside of the city of Amsterdam, in the most popular area of Diemen - the old village. Amsterdam city center can be reached by tram or bike in only 20 minutes!
The house has four bedrooms, one of which is a large, completely renovated and isolated attic. Diemen, where the house is situated, is a village, attached to Amsterdam. It has many shops and amenities, but also a bit more peace and quiet than the city itself can offer. And we have a spacious back yard!
The house has a living room with open plan kitchen which have been renovated in the fall of 2021 and fitted with floor heating and modern kitchen equipment. Downstairs are also the entry to the garden and a toilet. On the first floor there are two bedrooms (a double bedroom and one large kid's room with a bunk bed), a study and a bathroom. The second floor houses a third, large bedroom, that has both a (double) bed and a bed couch for extra sleeping space. Kitchen and bathroom are modern and well equiped. As we have young children there are a lot of toys in the house. We also have a Nintendo Switch with a few games and an interactive TV with Netflix. Since september 2019 we are the proud owners of two cats, Max (a bit larger now than on the photo) and Lila! Shops, playgrounds, a swimming pool and a pet zoo are in the vicinity. A nature reserve is also close by, and many opportunities for cycling and hiking.

About the neighborhood
To the inhabitants of Amsterdam, it is the center of the world. There's a grain of truth in this: the city has all you might want or need, even quietness where you least expect it. But it's also situated in the South of Noord-Holland, a province with beautiful old 'polders' and towns. By train or car you can reach any other place in the Netherlands within two and a half hours. Think of the dunes at the coast, the Waddenislands, nature parks like the Veluwe and other towns like The Hague and Rotterdam. Brussels and Paris are also just a train ride away.

Philip en Caroline hebben een zeer comfortabel huis en duidelijke ruilinformatie achtergelaten. Tijdens de ruil was contact via Whatsapp makkelijk om vragen over en weer snel te beantwoorden. Tunbridge Wells ligt fantastisch: makkelijk bereikbaar vanuit Nederland en op een uurtje van zowel Londen als Brighton, in een prachtig gebied. Helemaal goed dus!
Echange excellent malgré le temps. Maison très agréable et bien située tout proche du Tramway. Idéal pour découvrir la ville d'Amsterdam et les environs. Le plus, famille très sympathique et facilitante pour tout ; c'est une belle rencontre.
